I always felt it most closely reminded me of Formula 44

In tried it twice in college, hated it both times, never went back. I'm really not much for hard alcohol, give me a good beer and I'm happy.

I think one needs to be "in-the-tank" before taking a shot (or two) of that sh_t.

I love the Jager. It's always been good to me.

Unlike that asshole, Senor Tequila.

Take 3 more shots. You'll love it then really hate it. Sometimes there's nothing better than a proper drop in jägerbomb.

Black licorice flavored cough syrup, that does nothing for a cough.

Yea, Jager is nasty, alcoholic black licorice liquid (anise, not to be confused with anus, a close relative). Also avoid absinthe.

Stick to good spirits, like Scotch and other whiskys/whiskeys (there's a difference, but Irish, Kentucky, and Canadian are the major varieties), good vodka, brandy, and rum. Also Everclear (but not straight).

I know absinthe is really popular in new orleans, so that might be unavoidable.

It's alright. I like it, but wouldn't buy myself a bottle if given the choice between this and a good Scotch. If it's being offered though, I definitely don't say no. It also helps that a few of my friends are huge fans.

That being said, I like bitter, dark, unusual tastes over conventional (sweet, fruity, sour) tasting drinks.

It's ok to try an ounce or so, but don't waste your money buying any. My friends, my wife, and I killed off a bottle one night (more them than I, I'm not a heavy drinker), and my taste buds hated me for days. Also, no hallucinations or apparent mental changes other than the expected intoxication, for better or worse.

Stay away from Jagermeister, and the culture that surrounds it.

With tequila, you get exactly what you pay for.

Sadly, on my budget, I just have to pretend I paid more.

Shit sucks, but I can drink a half a bottle of Jameson room temp and straight up, no problem.
